The content and rigor of the college-level courses a student has taken, or is currently taking, is critical to their ability to transition seamlessly into Cornell Engineering programs. For this reason, ALL prospective transfer applicants MUST submit course descriptions for each college-level course they have taken, or are currently enrolled in.
Transfer applicants must include complete course descriptions (copied from your institution’s course catalog or syllabi) for each college-level course they have taken, or are in the process of taking, or for which you received AP, transfer, or college-examination credit. The descriptions should include a list of topics covered in the class and list any prerequisite courses. A list of the textbooks used in each class is also useful, but not required.
The faculty uses this information to compare coursework to that which is required by the Engineering College at Cornell. All transfer applicants must fulfill this requirement, or risk that their incomplete applications will not be reviewed by faculty. Transfer applications will be considered officially withdrawn if course descriptions are not received by the application deadline.
